It’s becoming increasingly hard to tell which of these leaked renders of the Galaxy S8 are legit, as part of the design shown in these images is no different than the current Samsung flagships.
We were told by industry sources in the last couple of months that Samsung plans to overhaul the Galaxy S lineup’s design. The Galaxy S8 would be the first to benefit from this complete redesign, so we’re expecting something different than what we got used to.
The latest image of the Samsung Galaxy S8 edge comes from case maker Ghostek. The image might be more accurate than the usual concept images made by some designers, since case makers usually receive information about upcoming smartphones much earlier so they prepare their accessories.
The Atomic 3 waterproof case that covers the alleged Galaxy S8 leaves a few details out in the open. Such as the single lens camera and the lack of a Home button on the front side.
The dual-edge curved display is shown in full glory, but we didn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. The back side doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor as previous reports suggest, but rumor has it Samsung will include one under the display, which is why it’s not visible in the image.
The LED flash on the back side is not visible either, which is a bit worrisome since that element is very useful to case makers, which must streamline their accessories according to the specs received from smartphone companies. Obviously, the Galaxy S8 will include LED flash for the main camera, but the lack of it might weigh heavily on the legitimacy of the image. Source: phonearena
