Sundar Pichai is not a new face as far as India in concerned. After he assumed office as Google CEO, Pichai made a strong pitch for the development of India. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s full support to his initiatives, it’s been a roller coaster ride for the search engine giant in India.
During his upcoming visit to India, Pichai will host an event for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in New Delhi on January 4 in presence of Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Moreover, several senior officials from Google India are also expected to attend the event.

The main focus of the event will be to establish a credible partnership with India-based SMBs. At the daylong event, Pichai will interact with key business people to enable them to unlock the tremendous growth potential through the power of digital.
He will also deliver a session as to how digital world could turn into a game changer hub for them. The event assumes great significance in the wake of the recent Demonetization drive with several small businesses migrating to digital payment mode.
Previously, Google had revealed that India has a huge growth potential for its SMB solutions. The company also launched the Google for Business solution in a bid to enable small businesses to find customers on the web within their local area.
